Data Snack ("we", "us", "our") operates the website at data-snack.app (the "Service"). This page explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights. We are committed to protecting your privacy — we do not collect any personally identifiable information.

We collect only anonymous, non-identifiable usage data when you use our calculators:

• Anonymous session ID — a randomly generated identifier stored in your browser's sessionStorage. It is not linked to your identity and is cleared when you close the tab.
• Calculator inputs — prices, quantities, and calculated results you enter into our Hedge & PnL or Arbitrage calculators.
• Market context — the Polymarket market title and category associated with your calculation (if you select a market card).

We do not collect names, email addresses, IP addresses, or any other personally identifiable information.

3. How We Use the Data

• To understand which prediction markets users find most relevant.
• To improve our calculator tools and user experience.
• To generate anonymized, aggregate market insights (e.g., most-analyzed markets).

We may share or sell aggregate, anonymized insights derived from this data. Raw data is never sold or shared with third parties.

4. Cookies & Local Storage

We use sessionStorage (not cookies) to store your anonymous session ID. This data is local to your browser and is automatically deleted when you close the tab. We do not use tracking cookies or third-party analytics cookies.

5. Third-Party Services

• Polymarket API — we fetch publicly available market data from Polymarket's CLOB API. No user data is sent to Polymarket.
• Supabase — anonymous calculator event data is stored in Supabase (EU/US region). Supabase's privacy policy applies.
• Vercel — this site is hosted on Vercel. Vercel may collect standard server logs. See Vercel's privacy policy for details.

6. Data Retention

Anonymous calculator event data is retained indefinitely for analytical purposes. Since it contains no personally identifiable information, there is no mechanism to delete specific records on request. Your session ID is deleted automatically when you close the browser tab.

7. Children's Privacy

This Service is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has provided information through our Service, please contact us.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new policy.
